How to protect your Crypto Wallet

How to protect your crypto Wallet - CryptoChtis World

I’ve been receiving numerous messages over the past few months from many individuals who have lost all the money in their wallets.

However, research showed that over 700 million $ was stolen in the previous months from MetaMask and Phantom wallets.

Fraudsters are constantly ahead of us, so we need to be vigilant and ready.

Fake Airdrops

There are many Fake pages that promise you that you won a big Airdrop that will be removed in a few hours and all you have to do is connect to your wallet.

We never, ever link our wallet to unknown pages.

Fake website

Whenever we go to enter a page we use every day, we should see that there is “https//” and that this page we are going to connect to is not a phishing website.

Fake giveaway

They claim that you’ve won $10,000 in a giveaway and need to link your wallet to claim the money. Many people have been lured in by this scheme.

Fake support

Are you looking for support for an issue in a Telegram group? There is a possibility that someone might send you a scam message telling you to follow certain procedures with fake links that could end up stealing your money.

Clear Connect

You should clear Connect and also see what permissions you have given to various pages that you have connected with Metamask or any other wallet. Because Disconnect is not enough.

A wallet

Don’t make this mistake and keep all your money in a metamask or phantom.

Split your money so that if you make a mistake, the money you lose is small.

Free donation

There are pages that tell you that if you Connect your wallet will send you a rich person money.

They won’t do that and all they want is your money.

MUST DO to protect your Crypto Wallet

Download the Wallet Guard Chrome Extension. This extension is a must-have for your crypto wallet as it will protect you from potential scam threats and scan your crypto wallet 24/7.

It’s important to never store your wallet’s recovery phrase online. Instead, it’s recommended to write it down on paper and then keep two (2) physical copies in two separate, secure locations. This way, you have a backup in case one copy gets lost or damaged.
